38mm SS Internal Circlip DIN 472, also known as an Internal Retaining Ring, Bore Circlip, Housing Circlip or Snap Ring, is designed for axial retention of components located inside a housing or bore.
The circlip installs into a correctly dimensioned internal groove machined inside the bore. Once seated in the groove, its retaining shoulder helps prevent compatible components such as bearings, bushes, spacers and other fitted parts from moving axially inside the housing. The two lug holes allow the circlip to be compressed using suitable internal circlip pliers during installation or removal.
