Description
3.2mm SS E-Type Circlip DIN 6799, also known as an E-Clip, E-Ring or Shaft Retaining Ring, is a compact securing element designed for axial retention of components mounted on a shaft.
The distinctive E-shaped profile allows the retaining ring to be installed radially into a correctly dimensioned groove on the shaft. Unlike many conventional circlips, the E-clip does not need to be slid over the end of the shaft, which can make installation convenient in compact assemblies.
Once correctly seated in the groove, the circlip forms a retaining shoulder that helps restrict axial movement of compatible components such as gears, washers, rollers, linkages and spacers.
